We have shared our concerns in the past on the book, Jesus Calling, by Sarah Young. If you haven’t read that article, you are welcome to do so here.
However, we have not realized how many mainstream Christian leaders are endorsing this book. Just in the past two weeks, we found out that David Jeremiah has joined this camp.
Emergent Watch website had an article with this information.
Dr. David Jeremiah is a popular pastor/ teacher, and has had a daily program on Calvary Chapel affiliated ‘His Channel’ for some years. However, he has had numerous problems with bad affiliations and endorsements. In May 2016, DJ took part on the “Jumpstart” Pastors and Leaders Conference alongside well know Word-Faith preachers Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyers & others. In ‘Life Wide Open’ [2005] DJ cites contemplatives Brother Lawrence’s ‘Practice of the Presence of God”, and ‘When the heart Waits’, by Sue Kidd Monk. Now DJ has lent his name and credibility to back the aberrant theology of Sarah Young and her ‘Jesus Calling’. In a recent advert on Jesuscalling.com, we are told: “As a pastor and a teacher, Dr. Jeremiah advocates daily prayer and scripture reading. He appreciates how Sarah Young has helped many with their prayer lives through the words of Jesus Calling.

We highly recommend Warren B. Smith’s book Another Jesus Calling: How Sarah Young’s False Christ is Deceiving the Church. If you have any questions at all, these will help you understand why the concern is huge for those who want God’s truth to go forth.
Deception is rampant and it is in our own churches. Let us always be looking to our Jesus who promised to never leave us, but who also sent the Spirit to guide us in the way of all truth.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:13
We believe in the inerrancy and sufficiency of the Scriptures. Jesus said, “Thy Word is truth.” And so we not only believe it, we also base our worldview upon it.
